I want to thank Carol for her input regarding posting and taking things
personally. Of course we should AVOID taking discussions personally. Barbara
Wilson Clay has also posted on this in past times, and very eloquently...as
per her usual.

Issues are to be discussed and debated in a professional manner. Just
because we disagree with someone or their post, it is not a personal affront
or insult. If we cannot discuss matters like this without taking offence, we
do ourselves and our profession a great disservice.
