Kerstin Hedberg-Nyqvist is testing a moisture barrier for 23-24 weekers
in skin to skin, to keep them from dehydrating through their backs. Mom
protects the front... They are finding normal urine osmolality and blood
chemistry with these fragile little ones in skin to skin as long as they
have their moisture barrier cape on over their scalp and back. Research
is ongoing on kangaroo mother care for the very earliest babies.
