June’s post references the ways we learn best.  In the
learning cone cited, learners retain 70% of what they
discuss and 90% of what they practice.  I found this a
lovely reminder of the importance of a relaxed consult
with plenty of opportunity for discussion & practice.
Even more lovely the thought that for years LLL and
other mother support groups have been doing just that:
 gathering mothers at all stages for an hour or two of
the discussion and practice of breastfeeding.  Another
grand idea with a long history in our species…

styles in mind when hammering home key points (June
phrased it more appropriately…).
