Natalie-when I worked at WakeMed, we had 4-5 cancer patients at any time
receiving breastmilk. There was a huge article in the Chicago Times one time about
one of our recepients.  It seemed to boost their imune system and help
resist infections, etc. Maybe the end of life was of a higher quality. Maybe longer
but you don't know that for sure. Many of them did live much longer then
their MD's gave them for survival at the time of diagnosis. The LC's at WakeMed
(in the Milk Bank)may be able to give you information.
