My  meaning was the baby was prone (face down - no change in meaning), but 
the  mother was "laid-back" with the baby prone on her. Does that make  
sense?


~~~ It makes complete sense. It's one of those things that's so obvious I  
can't imagine how I didn't get it before. :)
