I missed the beginning of this thread, so please forgive me if I am not "on
topic" with this post. I worked with a client a few years ago who had
implants between babies. Situation: she had nursed 2 children, then
remarried, had the implants, then decided to have a new baby with the new
hubby. She had numerous & ongoing supply problems, and only b/c she was
highly motivated and already had good experiences with breastfeeding the two
previous children, was she able to work through all of the problems. I saw
her at a weekly support group for months, but it was 6 months after birth
before she was exclusively breastfeeding that child. There may have been
other factors that contributed to her supply problems (baby factors, etc) but
the implants stood out as a significant difference between this baby and the
other two.
