I would like to jump into the fray about diet sodas from a different
angle.  IMHO, there are enough obstacles in the way of mothers choosing
to breastfeed.  If a mother "on the fence" hears that no diet soda
should cross her lips while she nurses, she may opt for the alternative.
I strongly believe that a much greater harm would result from choosing
not to breastfeed or weaning early in order to "indulge", than from
breastfeeding and consuming diet sodas in moderation.  Alicia.
