Hi!! Need additional information on
milk fistulas.  I looked in the archives, but didn't find the
information I want. Are there any articles on frequency of milk fistula
following a breast biopsy that I can give the breast surgeon? I spoke to the
surgeon's nurse.  She stated that the doctor was sued from a woman getting
a milk fistula following a biopsy then the fistula became infected.  She
sued because she stated that she was not told of the complication, so the
surgeon is concerned about the milk fistula occurring if mom does not wean from
that breast.

I stated that I would try to find information that may be beneficial so the
mother does not have to wean.
