Although this drug is not fancied by Dr. Hale, I think that overall the
risks to the baby are less, especially in the high risk mother and baby (17
years old, perhaps other things) if she continues breastfeeding.  In Africa
we used phenothiazines (chlorpromazine) all the time to increase the
mothers' milk supply and saw no problems in the babis.  Why not take the
medication, and measure maternal and baby levels while she continues
breastfeeding?
