Sounds like yeast overgrowth to me. Clicking can be yeast related, because
baby's mouth is itchy and he may be trying to scratch it.  And there can
certainly be yeast overgrowth without visible symptoms in baby's mouth.  Ask
about red in diaper area too. Baby can also be gassy with a yeast overgrowth.

I see so much yeast when baby has no symptoms that I don't even consider
baby's symptoms as an issue any more.  Sure, baby's thrush can be visible
and the diaper area can be red, but with nipple and ductal yeast symptoms I
recommend treatment for both mom and baby regardless of baby's symptoms or
lack thereof.

It's good that you send Kay's sheet, and hopefully Mom can find a "swift" MD
who will take her problems seriously and work to resolve them.
