How do other hospitals that are Baby Friendly handle pacifiers? My understanding is that they can be on the floor and given to our bottle feeding mothers. In regards to breastfeeding mothers, these mothers are educated on the risks of pacifier use and the benefits of not using a pacifier in relation to breastfeeding establishment. After this, the parents can make an informed and educated choice.

Am I correct in this thinking...or does it mean that pacifiers can not be in our facility at all...and all pacifiers must be brought in by the parents from an outside source.

Thanks for your help!
