Unfortunately I have a severe lactose intolerance and know a good bit about
treating the condition. So just a little FYI about using lactase drops-they
don't do a thing unless put into milk and allowed to sit for 24 hours,
however the lactase supplemnt tablets are highly effective when taken with
milk or milk products. So the peds reccomendation of giving a baby drops with
a feed theoretically wouldn't help, besides everything I've been reading
(which has been a lot lately) states that lactose intolerance in infants is
extremely rare.
