Here's the history you shared with us: Mom has problem possible plug armpit
to nipple, vague burning pain, internally warm, uncomfortable left breast,
left shoulder pain when pushed on, possible muscle pain since July.
First, I would be worried this is a tumor (just a possibility) so I would
definitely continue seeking a diagnosis. Secondly, it could be a muscle pain
or "pinched nerve" type of situation. Can mother remember an injury?
Gardening? Carrying babies or toddlers on that side, in a sling? a large or
heavy purse or diaper bag?  Any repetitve motion on that side?
I've had shoulder, wrist, and thumb injuries and pain for months due to a
big weekend of gardening chores.
