Oh Stacy, how dreadfully sad!

Barbara says,

How upsetting this must be for you to be a part of this sad infant death;
hopefully, your hospital will provide some venue of grief work for all staff
involved.

I'm disappointed that there was no autopsy. Sometimes in the midst of grief,
people can't understand how important it is for understanding of the cause --
even if we don't always know what happened.

I worked at a hospital once in which a baby died in the newborn nursery -- in
her crib -- on her back. But you know, it didn't stop the staff from putting
babies in their cribs in the nursery......That practice continues to this
day.....
