The only way IBCLC's will maintain (and enhance) credibility with MDs, and
acheive the licences which in many areas predicate payment for services, is
to recertify by exam like almost every medical specialty already does.  I
found recertifying by exam a great way to keep current in the field.  Having
worked on the exam committee a few year's back, I know how hard the group
(your peers) work to make the exam fair, current, and appropriate. Take the
exam and smile !
