The Lactnet server does not strip extraneous text from the digest.  It
simply compiles individual posts until they reach a certain number of lines
and sends it out as the digest.  So, if a poster does not remove the
previous digest it will be resent.  I think, but am only speculating, that
sometimes the computer will just send what it has, regardless of length so
some digests are shorter than other.  Not sure though, as I get individual
posts.

So, a friendly reminder to make sure you remove any extra text prior to
sending your post.
