I have asked this question on my history since I started seeing mothers with
breastfeeding problems (14 years ago, and probably 10,000 mothers and babies
later). "Did your breasts enlarge during the pregnancy". The *majority of
mothers* who said "no" were producing lots of milk and were coming for other
reasons. It is true that many of the mothers who really seemed not to
produce a lot of milk also said their breasts did not enlarge.

She should go into this confident, make sure she gets *good* help, and if it
turns out she really does not produce enough, she can breastfeed forever
with a nursing supplementer. There is more to breastfeeding than
breastmilk.
