Thanks to everyone who responded to my post about the pediatric resident who
did not feel that breastfeeding research is valid.  I now have several
copies of the AAP's position statement to give out as needed.  The scary
thing is this young, female pediatrician to be graduated from a very
prominent medical school in Washington, D.C.  The good news is she paid to
come to the breastfeeding class and now knows a good bit about
breastfeeding.  I reread the AAP's position statement, too, and the 110
references are very impressive.  Does the AAP update their statements every
5 years or so?
