I doubt that this study exists, but even if it does...nipple confusion is not
the only reason to avoid rubber teats during breastfeeding initiation.

Dr. Newman has a very nice article that highlights the reasons why babies should
receive only the breast to suck on. It was published in JHL (6) 2, 1990. I have
used it to win over docs with the "there's no such thing as nipple confusion..."
attitude.

Essentially, the answer to this statement is..."so what, there are plenty of
other reasons to avoid early use of supplements."
