 What an aweful story. Please keep us posted on
the baby's progress. It seems to me that in your
limited role you did as much as could be done.
Does your role include contact
with hcps? Would you have been able to call the hcps
directly (with Mom's permission of course) to consult
with them and express your concerns?
How can you work with your supervisor or employer
to learn from this experience for the future?
What protocols need to change to prevent this
from happening in the future?
