Terry,
Has mom tried covering the moles, for example with a band-aid, long enough to
break the habit?  Another suggestion, which worked wonderfully for me, is
distraction with a small stuffed animal.  When my youngest, now 13, was
between 1 and 2, she had an annoying habit of playing with the other nipple
during the bf session.  I'm sure it helped with a quicker MER but nearly
drove me up the wall!  And discreet nursing in public WASN'T!!  I bought a
little sutffed teddy bear and she would hug that bear and leave my breast
alone while nursing.  Perhaps something along that line might be helpful to
your mom.
