Why am I seeing babies that are out for most
>of the day?

We expect our boys who are circ'd to be out for hours, as almost all are.

I wonder how it would affect the quality of the long recovery nap. Would
the babies wake and be ready to nurse at the expected time (approx. 10 hrs
after birth), or would we see a longer sleep or less readiness to nurse?

Is there research on pain or surgery or disorganization in newborns?
