Dear Friends:
     Amy Smith has posted about the Podee, "hands-free" bottle.
     I have seen it used in a positive way by a mother of triplets, whose
infants received her milk for nearly a year. She also had a 2 y.o. and a 4
y.o. at the time of the triplets birth. She is also a pediatrician and liked
the idea that her babies wouldn't aspirate with the Podee.
     The idea of leaving a baby with a feeding device is heartbreaking;
however, there are circumstances where it can be a boost to a mother, as in
the case of multiples, where the normal expectations about infant feeding
have to be modified. I can't imagine nursing more babies than I could hold at
one time!
     Warmly,
Nikki Lee RN, MSN, Mother of 2, IBCLC, CIMI, CCE
