When I worked at a hospital in Suburban Chicago, Meditech was used as a
computer charting system. The Information Technology department built screens for
Marternal Child Health that included assessment and charting forms that
included Lactation. Linda Anderegg may be able to chime in some more information.
Your IT department should be alble customize screens in any system used. I
have a good friend who went from staff nursing to MIS (Medical Information
Systems). Her position within the hospital was to do just this! (Build screens
specific to the needs of the departments.)
