Most mothers know that TEETHING is related to infant fevers, diarrhea,
crankiness, drooling, etc.  Most medical lit. tries to dispel this FACT and
show it as "mother's myth"...."old wive's tale". TEETHING was better
recognized in a mid-90 survey of Florida Pediatricians than ever
before....WHY?...because so many more were now female. TEETHING

WELL.....IN FACT...TEETHING is related to all of the above AND even more
interesting it parallels rates of Otitis Media.  TEETHING and "EAR
INFECTIONS" begin about age 4-6 months, about 1 month before tooth eruption
through the gum...due to an immune response type reaction to bone resorption
(which by the way can intefere with grafting & surgical procedrues....they
both continue dramatically in 1 of 3 infants until about age 2 when they drop
off the high plateau...then they both go up and peak at a new plateau at
about age 6 just when the adult teeth begin to erupt. BUT.....you can't see
all of this if you don't know teeth!

BTW.....MOST EAR "INFECTIONS" ARE NOT INFECTIONS!!!  There is something else
