In response to the recent "persistant milk blebs" .......

 

      I worked with a mom who had several of these on one side only.   It
looked to me at one point that she had a sebaceous cyst and 2-3 milk blebs
that were clustered together.  It was very painful for her, and she pumped
only on that side while it was so sore.  She wanted me to incise and drain
these for her, so I poked at them with a sterile needle a few times, and had
her wash the nipples at least 2x/day and apply polysporin afterwards.  She
had also done oral antibiotics, lecithin and acidophilus.  She kept a cotton
ball soaked in olive oil in her bra at all times.  This kept the nipple
tissue softer, thus easier for the milk to break out of the bleb.  It took 2
months and one more needle poking session from me, but finally cleared.
