My daughter's house at Hatteras Village is safe with no damage. It is one of
the few houses left standing by the devastation of Hurricane Isabel. The baby
stayed safe and well fed through their evacuation to a town which suffered
extensive damage also. They spent 2 days stranded with only a case of bottled
water, and a small amount of food, in Edenton NC, with no running water, phone or
electricity until we were able to get through to bring baby and mom back
here. They have returned to Hatteras to help their neighbors. An associated press
photographer snapped their photo in the harbor. You can see the stress on
their faces, but being the good mommy that she is, Hunter has on his life
preserver and sunglasses.You can see their picture at:
