Sorry, I must have pushed the wrong button and my unfinished post
inadvertantly was sent.  To continue regarding the mother with the recurrent
plugged ducts with the 21-month old.  After one month without plugs while
doing the no saturated fats/lecithin, she called to say she had once again a
plug.  However, this time it resolved in six hours.  I forgot to mention that
she states she has a history of polycystic breasts.
     I have discussed with her the fact that cystic breasts are more prone to
plugged ducts, that she may have scar tissue by this time that is
contributing to the recurrences.   She seems to have tried all the usual
plugged duct treatments, including expressing some milk when a feeding is
interrupted or at the early signs of plugging.   I have also wondered whether
her work as a physical therapist could in some way be a contributing factor.
 These episodes do seem to be related to typical toddler nursing behavior,
and she is aware of that.  She really does not want to wean, but is at her
wits' end.  Anything I'm missing?  TIA.
