Re: Katherine Dettwyler's comments on hospital charges

My best friend received a bill for $25 for "equipment" used in
the ER visit she made--it was for a paper clip the MD pulled
from his pocket, heated over a match, and used to put a tiny
hole in her fingernail to release trapped blood.

Imagine the profits to be made on "that other stuff" for
babies... :-D
