Tom Hale's ref  to WHO .  They state that mothers of babies under 5 mo
should avoid immunization. The CDC recommends that due to certain risks that
breastfeeding mothers not be immunized unless they are entering areas of
high risk. "This vaccine is a live, attenuated vaccine so there is
significant risk the infant will ingest some virus, although its infectivity
is in question at this time." (2008)  He refers to CDC website for info.
It's in mfg recs too. He also says because of the risk for viral
encephalitis, in no instance should infants aged <6 months receive yellow
fever vaccine.

My only note is: was this mother in an area of high risk?  Did she have
proper screens or mosquito netting.  And also certainly the baby could have
gotten it the old fashioned way - being bitten by a mosquito.
