The gauge should have a rubber stopper at the end and that stopper is placed
in the nipple tunnel of the pump kit. You can test hand pumps, electric pumps
or any kind of pump the same way. I've had one for years that I got from
Ameda-Egnell. My husband says it looks just like a vacuum gauge that used to
be used to test suction pressures in the engine of a car - many years ago of
course.
