I too have had Joy's experience of a baby leaving toothmarks on my areola
which became very sore. In my case it was while I was feeding Alix as a
toddler. I realised that as she got older and heavier and helped herself
to breastmilk whenever I was concentrating on something else, I was no
longer paying any attention to how she was positioned. Lifting her up and
holding her closer solved the problem.
