I just brought this subject up in the spanish lactnet, Lacmat-L.  I
understand that using the pasteurization techinque of heating milk to 62
degrees centigrade for 30 minutes will kill the HIV virus and would be an
option for moms - even heated human milk should be better than formula.

However, what procedure to use for moms in their own homes who do not have
pasteurizing equipment?  What about boiling (100 degrees centigrade)? For
how long?  What is better - this boiled milk of formula?
