A work colleague asked me recently about how calcium supplements help cure
mastitis. She was told about it and then when she started to develop
mastitis (blocked duct 24 hrs, starting to feel fluey) took some calcium,
went to bed and was much better in the morning. She mentioned it to a dairy
farmer who said that they also gave calcium to dairy cows with mastitis. I
did mention that she probably did other things to help clear the blockage
and it may have been that that worked, but she was pretty convinced it was
the calcium. Anyone know anything about this?
