After reading the posts about lact-aid use, I remembered that Joan's session
also discussed treating ebm and the time-delay she recommended for severely
effected babies. So, I pulled out my notes from ILCA. This is retyped from
the session powerpoint by Joan Fisher entitled Colitis and the Breastfed Baby:

Lact-Aid (lactase enzyme)
5 gtts = not less than 1250 neutral lactase units
5 gtts/L hydrolyses ~ 70% lactose (refrig. milk X 24 hrs)
5 gtts/L hydrolyses ~ 70% lactose (milk @30C X 2 hrs)
increase enzyme and/or time for 100% hydrolysation
no rxn of any kind from liquid gtts
