Jan B., Lawrence recommends Diflucan as treatment for fungus on page 265 of
her 4th Ed. And the title page lists her as Prof of Peds & OB/Gyn. Would
your local docs accept her as an authority?

I, too, have been accused being obsessed with yeast. I thought I might be
obsessing or missing something until 1) referred a client to a well known LC
Clinic & they told her exactly what I told her; 2) casual conversations with
several other LC's in my area had them tell me they thought they were
obsessing with yeast 3) the LLLI Lactation Specialist Seminar on YEAST!!!!
 4) all the printed resources that have proliferated in the last couple
years.

Isn't validation from one's peers a glorious thing?

RE: JOINT PAIN

I missed your first message. Could you give more specifics? -> Multip?
Same condition w/ all children & no previous hx? Any family hx of auto
immune diseases? Is pain relieved by NSAID's, heat or ice? Is pain
constant, intermittant, isolated, occum during bf or any old time? Has MD
done blood panel, checked mineral levels, sed rates, etc?

I did have a client with a similar problem - but it was related to carpal
tunnel.

And another who was calcium deficient & experienced pain related to that
until she go the Calcium dosage right, and that increased during lactation.
I'll check w/her and get back to you. Seems a trial of a calcium supplement
wouldn't hurt though.
