I would advise strongly against this for the reasons you already stated. It
is a single user pump, you can replace the tubing but the motor is where the
potential problem can arise, this would leave you wide open for liability.

Subject: [LACTNET] A query for the list mind about pumps

One of my colleagues has a client who had used a Medela 'Pump in Style'
for 3 months with a prem. The client would like to sell it and my
colleague would like us to buy it for loan to moms in similar
situations.  The collection kits are readily available.

While I'd love to have such an item, but impression from discussions
here is that this is not the most appropriate suggestion.  The pump is
not intended for multi-users and the catalogue clearly states that. 

My agency normally does not deal in breast pumps, except to give away
manual pumps to moms in need, or give information about where to buy
them.
