I have a mother who has given me her permission to ask all of you about her symptoms.
She has itching of her hands, feet, trunk and mouth that was relieved with Claritin with the exception of the itching of her tongue. This started after she started breastfeeding. She feels nauseated with milk letdown. When her milk originally came in, she woke up choking and felt she couldn't breathe. She was highly sensitive to oxytocin when given to her in labor. She has been treated for thrush but is not sure if she ever had thrush. For the most part a good latch. Mom does have a large milk supply but has good results with leaning back and slowing flow or letting milk spray and then latching baby. She is hypothyroid and just had her medication reduced. She has a history of phosolipid disorder and suffered two miscarriages. She states she took Lovinox with the pregnancy and for 4 weeks pp. She states her symptoms are always worse at night and amplified with stress. She asked me about allergies to the breastfeeding hormones, so I am asking all of you. Any thoughts?
Thanks so much,
Sheila
