Catherine Watson Genna's recent post got me thinking...
she writes: <Babies modulate the relative amounts of positive and negative
pressure
they use in sucking depending on milk flow. Less milk flow might cause
the baby to increase the pressures>

If a mom has persistent OAMER and abdundant supply, baby may get used to
being "lazy" at the breast. Sucking and feeding but with lots less
pressure...could this evolve into a feeding issue down the road when they start
solids...with increased difficulty with textures and chewing as they have been weak from
"lack of use" so to speak.

How many of you speak to moms with feeding issues with solids that now in
hindsight those moms had OAMER?

just musing today...

baby
