Our LLL Group owns several pumps that were donated to us when a Medical Supply Company went out of business.  Because we're not renting them from Medela we cannot make use of their loss/damage waiver (insurance).  When renting pumps (we have both Lactinas and Classics) we require a $500.00 deposit, and a fair amount of personal contact information.  I also check this information against their drivers license.  We had an attorney (husband of one of the Leaders) double check the wording to make sure we could sue if we needed to.  Because we most often deliver them the false address thing isn't usually an issue.
