Look at her papers, and those of Bystrova (her colleague) and Jonas and colleagues have a whole series on the effect of epidurals (including one that shows half the oxytocin levels after birth in women who had an epidural during labor).<<



When they found the lower oxytocin levels, did anyone observe the milk ejection reflex and whether it was compromised?  I have wondered whether this could be one cause of those unhappy newborns who are getting "nothing," next to edema occluding breast drainage.
