I have to say that male or female does not seem to make a difference

- I've dealt with female doctors that want to control women's fertility,
even if this would put breastfeeding at risk as much as male doctors

- I've dealt with female bosses that don't want to give employees time off
for pumping as often if not more than male bosses (men seemed to be more
embarrassed, admitting they know nothing about what it takes, and more
willing to listen)

- I've dealt with female OBs who are just as intervention-minded as any male
OB

- I've dealt with male pediatricians who are willing to support
breastfeeding way beyond what you would have expected, even observing
breastfeeding during visits and taking the IBLCE exam!

...so let's not make this a male/female or nurse/MD or anything else but a
challenge to identify those who are our supporters, those who are on the
fence and could be educated, and those with whom we just have to persist
until they get out of our way!
