Bag balm, utter cream, are not appropriate for putting on nipples for healing, or ingestion for infants. Lanolin, make sure mom or babe is not allergic. In my years I have found some moms like me who are. A salve that is made with beeswax, (it allows the skin to breathe),olive oil, with calendula, comfrey (usually it’s a very little bit) heal quite well and are ingestible. Homeopathic graphites 30c, castor equi also heal the skin quickly, and they are safe.

Subject: Nipple cream

I just saw a patient and their provider recommended that she use : bagbalm, utter cream or oil based product to place over her nipples to help heal them.

I am not familiar with using anything other than breastmilk and lanolin does anyone use any of these products?
