I read this article and what struck me as odd, is that no where in the interview does anyone mention or ask what is meant by the titles by-line.
"You've got to stop breastfeeding the world and take care of you" By Tamara Ikenberg
My guess is that they meant it as some kind of metaphor for women, meaning that women need to stop taking care of everyone else and take care of themselves. For a woman who supports breast care awareness and women's health, it is unfortunate that the first sentence goes so far the other way. Here she had a chance to truly support women, and discuss important factors that can reduce a womans risk of getting breast cancer, and there is nothing in the article that is beneficial about reducing risks at all. The only helpful information I noticed was in the last paragraph where she says women should do monthly breast exams to note changes and lumps, and for women to trust their instincts. The interview is really just to give insight to a famous (in the US) person's personal experience. Too bad they didn't take the opportunity to use this interview to educate.
