Why the immediate conclusion that it was lactose causing the problem and not
the bovine whey protein found in HMF (as is more widely suggested in
research)?
 Perhaps a trial of Mom's milk w/o HMF would be telling, if tolerated
,increasing cals via hindmilk (as you suggested) might work ~ OR~ if the baby is over
1800gms (assumedly at 35wks he is), how about discontinuing the added cals
entirely ?-as this is one marker some use to do so!
