It would be interesting to see how the baby does with expressed milk in a
bottle. I had a friend who had a baby with tracheomalacia who experienced
everything you are describing. She actually ended up weaning because the
feedings were so fraught, with the baby choking, crying and and experiencing
stridor during feedings. She found that the baby seemed to do better with a
bottle and that he was able to relax and breath better during feedings. I am
not trying to diagnose this baby that you are discussing, because obviously
only a specialist can do that, but it might be interesting to see if the baby
feeds more comfortably from a bottle, since he has not had any relaxed
feedings yet and is actually turning blue.
