I saw the baby today. She is 3 months old instead of 6 weeks. She looks so
healthy other than being thin. Her arms and legs have subcutaneous fat,
just not much. Her skin isn't loose. Her head is good size and she
continues to grow in length. She is responsive and personable and quite
happy unless there is the occasional gas pain. Her eyes are bright and her
muscle tone is good. Her suck is strong and well coordinated. When she
feeds there is a good rhythm off suck, swallow, breathe.

I am leaning toward the problem's being in the fat content of Mom's milk.
Of course, the first baby weighed the same as this one at 3 mos. and he had
been switched to abm because of not gaining. He is 7 now and thin and
healthy. The second baby was put on abm early and has serious allergies.
She did gain more than her siblings, but she is not as healthy.

Is there any way of increasing the fat in the milk?
