Why not wait for longer for the tubal ligation?  I am assuming that
this is for sterilisation,  so it can wait a bit, surely. Quite apart
from the effect on the baby and feeding, mothers and babies need to
be together in these early days, not in surgery.

Or is this something to do with cost/insurance???
