Hi, all.

I am speaking at a conference at the end of February. My topic is
non-natives working within the health care systems on Native Reserves in
Canada (but can apply to the US/Australia, etc). I am Mohawk and I will be
speaking as someone from the community to those who enter our health system
- particulary as it affects breastfeeding.

What I am asking Lactnetters is: if you work on a reserve, or work withing
the health system of any indigenous system, could you please contact me
off-list? I would like a multi-levelled approach to my talk, not just "sit
down and listen" for the first months of employment :-P. Far too many
non-natives come into communities wanting to 'fix' a problem, instead of
actually listening to what the issue is in the first place.

Nya:weh (Mohawk for thank you)
