Hi everyone,

I have not introduced myself yet. I thought it was time, and I also wanted
to respond to a post.
I am a LLL Leader with Hawai'i. I have three children--- Gabrielle 6 1/2
years, Alexander 4 years and K'Ehleyr 21 months. All were nursed, and my
youngest is still nursing.
As far as a mother consuming her own milk, I have often wondered about that
myself. I was not breastfed, so I have wondered if my milk could possibly
make up for a little of the good I never received. Does this sound crazy?
The more I learn about breastmilk, the more I wonder how I even survived
infancy. My brothers were fed a concoction of evaporated milk, water and
Karo syrup. I on the other hand survived on eggnog (without the rum of
course!)! I am very serious. I wonder what will happen as far as my health
as I get older. Needless to say, I am very much into vitamins and such.
Without bragging, I have always excelled in academics. What if I had been
breastfed? Would I have been a genius?!

Just wondering.

Aloha,
Gloria Thai LLL of Hawai'i
